The Lakers

Lakers Hotel

The Lakers is a hotel and is more hotel oriented than a pub. This large redhill pub area is geared towards being a couples and family place to chat, eat and drink. You are pretty much guaranteed to find a seat to enjoy the excellent carvery.

The Laker Hotel used to be named the Railway Junction Inn standing next to Redhill station. The pub/restaurant/hotel is relaxed with ample seating and has a lovely carvery being inexpensive and of good quality with good service. If you want more of an atmosphere, then you need to venture more into town.

Good carvery. Need to arrive early on Sunday to get in first. Mind you doors meant to open at noon, in reality about five past!
Also get in early or you end up queing behind oldies with dribbling noses !!

Not a lot of people know this, but The Cure (then known as Epicure) played their first ever gig at the Lakers.
Does it still get all the Posties in the bar on a Sunday night? Used to be the only night of the week that was busy when I worked there a decade or so ago.

Hate it ever since it changed hands. All the good fruities are gone.
