The Greyhound

Greyhound

The Greyhound is a regulars pub that can get crowded during event nights. The pub has a function room at the back (although it's a bit dingy!) that holds regular live band nights. The Stranglers were reported to have played here in the 70’s.

When you walk through the door, all heads turn and you have to be very careful not to sit on someone’s seat that has their name on it. Saying that, the Greyhound is a welcoming pub that has always stayed a place that encourages live music, events and community spirit.

Love the cheap back hall for hire (was 20 quid when I used to rent it out). Threw a few parties there, and Spider even tried to continue Rock Nights there once the Office closed down. Staff are ok, in a Twin Peaks kind of way: last thing I knew a load of bikers used to frequent it. Good to check out for the "experience".
