The Garland
Originally called
the Anchor when it was built in 1865 in the 19th century, this pub is a bit
of an old mans pub with darts and ales. This pub is great if you need a drink
and don’t want the wife to catch you, she probably won’t even know
the pub’s there.

The garland is a very pleasant pub. Both the land lord and lady, bill and shirley, are very nice people. It has been surrey pub of the year and is in the good beer guide.

The Garland pub during lunchtimes
is a haven for office escapees, and they also do the best chips in Redhill!
In warmer months, they have a garden with picnic tables out the back. Could
do with a visit from Ground Force though.

EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME!! I REMEMBER
IT AS THE ANCHOR, BUT I'M CERTAINLY NOT 19th. CENTURY, MA'AM
( editors note: This pub was built as the Anchor in 1865, but
changed when you were drinking in it. Man,
how old are you?! :o) )

I reguarly drink in the Garland and think it is a great pub due to the people inside and the fact that you dont get a load of rude boys in there!

Again, popped in there once every so very often. Rarely though. The darts stop in the air when you walk in, like many of the old man "regulars" pubs in the area. My advice: go in, act outrageous, get chucked out. You'll never go back, so what does it matter? ;o)
