The Dog and Duck

Dog and Duck

Nice bar staff, nice food and loud music.

At weekends, the Dog and Duck is full of Kevs and full of locals. If any pub in Redhill had to be the Queen Vic, then this is the one.
The pub is very popular for sport and gets crowded, especially if there is a big sports event on the 2 tvs in the pub. The World Cup match against Germany was a pretty memorable time for me in the pub!

The Dog and Duck is great for lunch breaks with quick service even when crowded, plenty of tables to sit at.

The toilets are shabby and leave a lot to be desired. Apart from this, The Dog is a recommended pub for a great atmosphere.

It may be utterly repellent now, but it is a vast improvement on what it was like when it was The Office - anyone remember?

Oh, give me the Office anyday. Perchy (Dave Fox) the resident rock DJ on a Friday night, who migrated from the Castle, was a classic. You didn't need a watch to know the time drinking in there when he was playing; you'd know the time from the song he had on. I've spent many a fond evening in there with a girlfriend, in fact that was my first date with my first long time love... Oh, well, we're both married now (not to each other though) but the place has a certain quality that all the paint, carpet and fake antiques can never change. They should have kept the pool tables though.
