Caffé Uno

Cafe Uno

Similarities between this restaurant and nearby ASK are noticeable. A chain restaurant, pizza and pasta, wooden interior decor.

This said, Caffé Uno has a great feel to it, the ambience of the place probably more memorable than the food, however the dishes I had were well presented and served by courteous staff.

A relaxed and no-nonsense night out in an Italian themed restaurant with no Italian waiters.

During warm days, the tables near the opening front doors are great to sit by and watch the world go by, well Mrs Miggins fetching her meat and veg from Marks and Sparks.

Just visited Cafe Uno with the family and found it 'pleasant'. The staff were 'pleasant' - with good, timely and amiable service; the surroundings were 'pleasant'- nothing to write home about but on the other hand clean, tidy, appropriate; the food was 'pleasant' - being nutritious, highly eatable (all 4 plates cleared) but lacking in memorable flavouring or experience. Oh, if like me you suffer from migraines and don't eat cheese or chocolate, don't expect a wide choice of desserts (but then what Italian resuarant do). I did enjoy the Californian Rose, but then so did the rest of the family so I didn't get very much!

Altogether, a pleasant evening out with the family of 4 for ?00. Is it the best restaurant in the area - no, but I've been in a lot worse. Will we go back? Probably - for a pleasant if unmemorable meal
