The Blue Anchor

The Blue Anchor

The Bl’Anca is a good all round pub with a great beer garden over looking the cricket ground at the back. It’s probably got the biggest pub sign in the world and attracts mainly the posher, mature student end of the market.

The Blue Anchor is totally a ‘Reigate’ pub and probably has at least 3 different rugby teams in there most weekends. Watch out for the raucous upturned Hackett shirt posse shouting “Good man” when buying rounds with vengeance.

This pub has undergone a facelift and is really cool now, visitors will probably not recognise it as the change has turned the pub into a lovely place to chill out and to feel kinda special in even if it is tucked away 'down town'.

The pub at the end of Reigate is worth the walk especially if you are looking for good pub food. The food served during the day is excellent; I had an amazing steak there once. Yum. The drink prices are something to be believed, rounds don't come cheap here but tends to keep the rabble away.

Check it out, especially during the summer months due to the long beer garden complete with outside heatlamps when the evenings get cooler.

Possibly the worst pub i have ever been in, in my entire life. this is not the fault of the bar staff, or the chefs, as food was good, but the owners rudeness and the lack of atmosphere.

its a pub. NOT a wine bar. but it seems the owners weren't told the difference between the two.

i wouldn't recomend going here at all
